Steve McFarland
Senior Pastor
Steve has been the pastor of New Hope Fellowship since 1987. Steve was born and raised in Chico, and was preceeded as pastor by his father, Nathan McFarland. Steve has been involved in ministry for the entirety of his life; he has dedicated his life to prayer and desires to see the truth, love, and knowledge of God realized in this congregation. Steve is committed to the service of others within the church as well as in the community. In addition to his role as pastor at New Hope, he is on the board of Street Pastors in Chico and is also the coordinator and leader of the youth camps hosted by Paradise Fellowship Ministries. He and his wife, Terri, have been married for over 40 years, and have three children. Additionally, they have two grandchildren. Terri serves in the children’s programs at New Hope, as well as in worship ministry. Steve is a devoted San Francisco Giants fan, a Forty-Niner Faithful, loves to take trips to the coast, and is an avid reader.

Dana McFarland
Worship Leader
Dana serves as a worship leader at New Hope, as well as at youth camps held throughout the year. Dana is originally from Chicago, but has lived in Chico since 2003. She and her husband, Seth, met in high school and shortly after graduation completed a Discipleship Training School through Youth With a Mission. Dana and Seth married in 2013, and are both graduated from California State University, Chico.
Ali Davenport
Worship Leader
Ali was born and raised in Chico, and has been involved in New Hope for the entirety of her life. She began serving in worship ministry at a young age, and is currently serving as a worship leader at New Hope. Ali completed a Discipleship Training School through Youth With a Mission after graduating high school, and later went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from California State University, Chico. Ali and her husband Josh married in 2014, and two sons. Ali continues to work as a nurse. Her husband Josh also serves at New Hope as part of the worship ministry, and dedicates time in service wherever else he is needed.
